Responsibilities
We currently have a great opportunity for a Specialist I, Clinical Solutions. The Clinical Solutions Specialist I (CSS I) is responsible for ensuring Sysmex customers make the most out of the superior technology we have to offer. You will co-travel with your Applications/Solutions colleagues and rapidly gain knowledge on Sysmex analyzers and their features. As the principal technical resource, you will be responsible for gathering and understanding the customer’s needs and using your superior knowledge of Sysmex product features to adapt middleware and instrumentation to those needs. With enthusiasm and excellent communication skills, the CAS I will train customers on the best use of their purchased solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
2. Demonstrate superior communication skills when gathering customer requirements and demonstrate how Sysmex standalone analyzers can meet their needs.
3. Manage basic customer issues and concerns, researching information through colleagues and available resources.
4. Perform proactive customer visits to assess current state of operation, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimization
5. Perform basic middleware builds and check and assist senior CAS on testing and related setups
6. Complete all required checklists, communications, and quality paperwork, making necessary corrections when highlighted by senior CAS.
7. Collaborate with Applications Specialist Manager to outline scheduling and prioritize work.
8. Collaborate in-person with senior CAS in conjunction with Sysmex resources to learn new information and resolve customer issues.
9. Help Sales Team with basic analyzer questions and perform basic presentations to customers.
10. Other duties and projects as may be assigned.
Physical Risk: Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions.
Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.
Qualifications
Medical lab degree. 1-3 years of experience required.
MLT certification, specialization in Hematology, Urinalysis or Hemostasis - Hemostasis Preferred
Intricate knowledge of Sysmex products.
Proven applications field experience in diagnostics/medical device industry
Proven experience working with Canadian healthcare customers
- English; French is considered a strong asset
- Proficiency and comfort with learning new software
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Teams, Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Windows administrative features and settings
- Strong interpersonal skills; persuasive; good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic network operation and troubleshooting
- Demonstrate maturity, professionalism and tact with customers and Sysmex associates
- Strong ability to collaborate internally and externally
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, can-do attitude and strong desire to achieve goals
This job requires satisfaction of the credentialing requirements of Sysmex’s customers, including hospitals and other healthcare facilities, which generally includes proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), and COVID-19.
